Permanent Orienteering Courses
The following is a list of permanent orienteering courses around the CLOK area. The markers are left out all the time and are usually plastic plaques fixed to wooden posts. You can obtain a map from the sources listed below, often the visitor centre that is located on the area. Then go and run round the markers at your leisure. Which posts you go to is entirely up to you although some guidance is often given with the map. You can work out a route to suit your ability and go at your own pace without the formality of a competition. You can use the courses at any time the area is open.

Trail-O
Trail-o is orienteering for able bodied people and those with mobility difficulties alike. You go around a course which is always along paths suitable for wheelchairs, and test your orienteering skill along the way. Two courses at Pinchinthorpe, near Guisborough. There are urban park trail-o courses available at Albert Park, Pallister Park, Locke Park, and Skerne Valley. For details of these locations see the above table.
