CLOK New Year Relays, Jan 4th 2004, Toft Hill
Hope you all enjoyed your run at Toft Hill. On the day the conditions were good although 18 hours beforehand, with the access track still blocked with snow, low cloud, strong winds and power only just being restored to the scout premises, I was beginning to have doubts about the event. As it turned out, conditions looked good at least from the relative comfort of the start area. Congratulations to One-man-Bandit Ed Nash who once again made 15.5km (with 850m climb) of orienteering look fairly effortless.
Thanks to many people, specifically Dave for planning; Will for map printing; Gill, Linda, Jenny and Lucy for all that good stuff in the kitchen; Cat and Jenny for putting out the string course; Stockton Scouts and Mr Alderson for land access.
